In Part 3 of his Raw Interview, Ryan Bertin reflects on the final chapter of his St. Edward career, from the painful lessons of early losses to the moment he finally captured an individual state title. Bertin recalls how his mother challenged him to finish what he started, ultimately pushing him to wrestle back and take third place. That moment changed his mindset.
Bertin explains how he reevaluated why he was wrestling and how that helped him approach the sport with a new level of maturity and focus heading into his senior year. He describes how the intensity of the rivalry faded later in his career as St. Edward established itself as the dominant program, shifting the team’s focus toward new national challengers like Blair.
Looking back, Bertin says the experience at St. Edward shaped far more than his wrestling career, it built the foundation for his success in college, business, and life.
